Birthday cakes
Birthdays are what I bake most. Tell me whose it is, what they like and how many are coming, and I design it with you from there: the flavour, the size and the decoration.
How I work on it
I work from a date and an idea, however vague. If it is for a child and there is a character, I will do it; if it is for an adult who would rather have something plain, that too. The cake is baked for the day, not before.

How many people is it for?
Tell me how many guests you are expecting and I will tell you what size works, and what to add if it falls short.
A 10 lb cake serves around 30 people.
For 60, I would suggest adding 24 cupcakes and 24 decorated cookies.
I work on around 3 servings per pound, which is how a celebration cake is cut. If you want more generous slices, tell me and I will adjust it.
