Baptism and communion cakes
For a baptism or a first communion I make something simple and pretty, in soft tones and sized to the gathering it is going to be.
How I work on it
These are usually family gatherings rather than big parties, so a medium cake with decorated cookies for the children is normally the right call. If it is at home, I deliver the morning of the day.

How many people is it for?
Tell me how many guests you are expecting and I will tell you what size works, and what to add if it falls short.
A 10 lb cake serves around 30 people.
For 60, I would suggest adding 24 cupcakes and 24 decorated cookies.
I work on around 3 servings per pound, which is how a celebration cake is cut. If you want more generous slices, tell me and I will adjust it.
